JIC Venture Growth Investments (“VGI”) has made an additional investment in Paytner Inc. (“Paytner”), through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 2.

Paytner is a Fintech startup, offering a factoring service and a cloud invoice management service for freelancers, Small and Medium-sized business (“SMB”).

In Japan, structural changes in the labor market have led to an increase in the number of freelancers and SMB. While the business environment has been improving with the implementation of new laws to protect freelancers, cash management remains one of the most difficult issues for freelancers and SMB. Paytner has been challenging to reduce the burden of cash management through their factoring service.

Through this investment, Paytner will execute marketing initiatives, strengthen their organizational structure, and expand product capabilities. VGI expects that the growth of Paytner's business will contribute to the expansion of the SMB’s ecosystem, which will lead to Japanese economic growth.
