JIC Venture Growth Investments has invested in LASAGNA.ONE INC. (Lasagna.one) through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 2.

Lasagna.one is a startup engaged in the development of all-solid-state batteries, which are widely regarded as a next-generation battery technology. As electrification advances across a broad range of applications—including automobiles, drones, and robots—enhancing battery performance has become a critical challenge. While conventional lithium-ion batteries are approaching the limits of performance improvement, all-solid-state batteries are attracting significant attention as a next-generation alternative. However, numerous technical and manufacturing challenges remain to be overcome before commercialization.

The all-solid-state batteries developed by Lasagna.one feature a proprietary structure that enables higher cell voltage, rapid charging, long cycle life, and stable operation across a wide temperature range. The company has already achieved notable milestones, including the successful demonstration of 400V operation in a single-cell configuration.

The commercialization of Lasagna.one’s all-solid-state batteries is expected to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. In addition, Lasagna.one is actively collaborating with Japanese suppliers and equipment manufacturers, which is expected to contribute to the advancement of Japan’s battery industry.

With the capital from this investment, Lasagna.one plans to accelerate the development and commercialization of its innovative all-solid-state batteries through new capital expenditures in preparation for future mass production, as well as by further expanding its team through additional hiring.
