JIC Venture Growth Investments has acquired shares in ATOM Inc. (ATOM) through its JIC Venture Growth Fund 2.

Founded under the vision of “creating a new species,” the company positions humanoid AI robots not as mere automation tools, but as entities that can work alongside humans and expand the possibilities of industry. By integrating Physical AI, including environmental perception, decision making, and action generation, with robotic embodiment, ATOM aims to create a new class of machines capable of adapting to diverse environments and supporting or replacing human labor.

This investment supports the advancement of humanoid AI robotics and contributes to strengthening industrial competitiveness in the field of Physical AI. The evolution of this technology is expected to help address critical societal challenges, including chronic labor shortages in manufacturing and logistics and transportation sectors, while establishing a technological foundation that enhances productivity in Japan’s core industries.
